Basement Concerts

What has happened in the basement since May has been a spectacle of two beings putting their minds and imagination together, and coming up with something special each and every night. There was a flame that grew to new depths this summer. day night's Wedding Concert t could be seen as the lead-in concert to the wedding week. It also is a "pep rally" of sorts, for the golf round of the summer, and of the season, at Exeter on Saturday night. "Golf's had some tough rounds lately, and one special round at Exeter on Saturday night could turn that all around in a positive direction heading into the break," Gary said on Tuesday. The Fall Season of Golf 2010 will begin when Andy gets back from his Honeymoon in Barbados.

But concerts, unlike golf lately, have enjoyed success in the 2nd Era. Week 1 saw two concerts, the second one being a surprise, and both shows had a new feel and environment for sure, but the performers brought a positive vibe and charm to the shows, unlike the very emotional and poignancy of the Final Concerts, just a week before. There has been new music already, to go along with the occasional oldie.

Thursday night should feature much of the same vibe and approach as Week 1. But Andy has hinted at a possible Pep Rally approach, given the height of the summer at this point, and the big round on Saturday. So there could be a little more added incentive on Thursday night.
